Android App CGNetSwara Aug 2018 – Oct 2018An app for the volunteers living in cities to connect to CGNetSwara and help them in their mission. Users can view the problems posted by the people living in rural areas and adopt them to work on them. App allows multiple volunteers to adopt the problem and comment in a forum-like structure on the progress of the solution.

Android App CGNetSwara Feb 2019 – Mar 2019An app for use by the Yatra team of CGNetSwara. The app features offline logging and storage of key details of people who the team trains. The details are then synced to the central database and matched against the data collected by CGNetSwara across their public facing channels which helps in tracking audience acquisition, employee performance etc.

Android App CGNetSwara Sep 2018 – Dec 2018The original swara app created by CGNetSwara was used to download podcast-like stories collected by CGNetSwara and share them via bluetooth. We refactored the app and fixed issues that were existing at the time.

Android App CGNetSwara Apr 2019 – May 2019A mobile solution to replace the telephony server setup of CGNetSwara in event of a server fault/ technical issue. In such an event the load of incoming calls is redirected to the app which then replicates server processes for database and API calls. It also hosts an easy switch-to-cloud option which though more expensive, is extremely fault resistant. This application is distributed internally only.

Android App CGNetSwara Sep 2019 – Oct 2019A refactor of the original swara app. Using this app, users can download podcast-like stories collected by CGNetSwara and share them via bluetooth. Users can also generate their own stories using the app. For the areas with no internet, app allows inbuilt transfer and detection of these stories via bluetooth. The app itself can be shared via bluetooth and is in fact the primary method of its distribution. To date, the app has had over 800 installs, 24000 file shares and 65000 INR earned as incentives.

IVR Solution Voicedeck Technologies Pvt Ltd Apr 2019 – Nov 2019Our IVR-based experiment ran from April 19 to May 13, 2019 in several villages of India during the National Elections: Rewa in the state of Madhya Pradesh, Surajpur in Chhattisgarh, and Karaon, Amethi, and Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh. People could call in to the number and answer a few questions on voting. They received a mobile airtime top-up if they answered correctly, and an explanation of the correct answer if they could not. A total of 1922 users called and 77% were able to answer correctly. We presented our findings in ACM Conference on Computer-Supported Cooperative Work and Social Computing 2019 held in Austin, Texas.

IVR Solution Voicedeck Technologies Pvt Ltd Nov 2018 – Jan 2019Technology demo at the tenth international conference on Information and Communication Technologies and Development (ICTD), 2019. Our team created Learn2Earn, a technology that pays people to learn essential information; works in areas without internet; and can track which users have understood an announcement. Learn2Earn combines Interactive Voice Response (IVR) technology and mobile top-up payments as incentives. We used it to spread awareness about HIV in the rural parts of Chhattisgarh, India.
